Place-based structure planning

The Caulfield Structure Plan represents a unique opportunity to envision a future for a precinct that includes a Racetrack, a university campus, a major transport hub (Caulfield Station), a redevelopment precinct and an urban village. A place-based Structure Plan, this process went beyond typical structure planning and considered place and people in a more detailed and nuanced way. The urban design efforts focused on accessibility and connectivity to and through the precinct and ways to better integrate Monash University’s Caulfield campus into the streets and neighbourhoods around it.  The Plan also identifies new land uses, building heights, and streets to create a walkable, liveable places for people.
